Serrapeptase is a proven, natural proteolytic enzyme produced from the enterobacteria Serratia mercesans, as originally found in the intestine of the silkworm.

The characteristic feature of serrapeptase is its affinity for non-living tissue, blood clots, cysts, tissue plaques, cellular debris and reduction of the inflammatory response.

Medford’s Flamgesic contains enteric-coated Peptizyme SP EN™ serrapeptase. This ensures protection of the enzyme from inactivation in the acidic medium of the stomach, which promotes optimal absorption and greater systemic activity.
